Steps for ironing on faux leather patches

Here are the steps on how to iron on faux leather patches:

  1. Prepare your patch and garment. it may be helpful to place the patch image facing front on the on the garment where you want it to be applied. (If possible turn garment inside out with iron in place) Make sure that the patch is centered and that the edges are even and straight.
  2. Preheat your iron. Set your iron to a medium heat setting.
  3. Place a piece of parchment paper over the patch. This will help to protect the garment/patch from direct heat of the iron.
  4. Iron the patch for 30 seconds. Apply firm pressure to the iron as you move it back and forth over the patch.
  5. Remove the iron and parchment paper. Let the patch cool completely before using the garment.

Tips:

  • If the patch is not sticking, you can try increasing the heat setting of your iron.
  • use a dry iron, meaning no steam setting.
  • If the patch is still not sticking, you can try using a glue stick or fabric glue to help secure it in place.
  • Be careful not to iron the patch for too long, as this could damage the faux leather.

Warnings:

  • Do not iron on faux leather patches that are made of vinyl or plastic. These materials can melt and damage your garment.
  • Do not iron on faux leather patches that are too large. The heat from the iron could cause the patch to warp or shrink.
