Tips for taking care of your embroidered items

Washing /spot check

• All embroidered items should be washed in mild detergent. 

• Turn item inside out and wash according to garment instructions. 

• Do NOT use chlorine bleach or brightening solutions. 

• If bleach is required for washing use non-chlorine bleach according to the item care instructions. 

• Do not allow your embroidered items lying soaking in a wet pile. Remove promptly after wash cycle.

• Place garments in dryer promptly after washing and dry on normal setting. (for best results without ironing remove from dryer while hot and lay flat to cool)

• Do not wring out or rub stained embroidered items. Doing so may cause stitches to come apart or loosen. 

Ironing after the wash

• It is recommended NOT to iron directly on the top of the stitching, doing so may cause scorching, burning or dirt from iron on stitches. 

• Use dry iron, NO steam.

• Before ironing turn garment inside out. 

• Place a piece of parchment paper or towel between the iron and the garment to be ironed. Press to your liking.

• If the garment can not be turned inside out, follow instruction above to achieve the same results. 

Pillows/ embroidered décor items

For garments that can not be washed. Spot check and clean with your favorite solution/soap. Be sure to read garment and solution direction before proceeding.
